Virtualization

I got my first chance yesterday to really use a web hosted server/client virtualization tool and I loved it so much that I've become sadly spoiled in one day and now feel upset when I have to test using a regular machine. THIS is how I want to test from now on. To log-in, start the environment I want in exactly the state I want, not manually be messing with multiple machines anymore, not having to manage my own disk space or resources anymore, but to be the queen of the virtual palace of testing!

I Love it Because
1. Quick!
2. Easy to share the "exact state" with others by just sending them a link.
3. No one else can mess up my state or configuration, NOT even me! A tired testy redhead without caffeine is no longer a threat!
4. I can keep the configurations I need and if I want to get rid of any it is super quick and automatic.
5. It just makes sense to share hardware this way.
6. No more annoying switches that beep.
7. I love to work from my laptop. I've been switching between machines all day for so long that just switching browser tabs is so much nicer. It feels organized, in control, and great.

Still not perfect
1. Why no Mac OS? I can't use this until it supports the Mac as well.
2. The tool still crashes IE all of the time and has issues on Vista. Need to test the testing tool. I'm glad to send in bugs, but PLEASE take stability seriously? If you can't run the VM in the "supported" browsers, it shouldn't be on the box.
3. Very expensive per user, so hard in this economy to convince others that it is needed.
4. I haven't figured out yet how in the world I'm planning to print from my virtual world. Input/Output is still a bit hazy to me. I need to learn more.
